Beirut Sillhouette

In 2021, I went back to Beirut to shoot the photo documentary called Beirut Sillhouette. I wanted to investigate how family businesses were staying up and running since the start of the economic crisis in Lebanon, 20219. I collected the stories of different butchers who all had their family businesses. Before the crisis these man all had a profession with a steady income and status. Now, after 3 years of the economic crisis, they are making almost no money, have no electricity or clients. Their children and grandchildren do not wanna follow into the footsteps of their parents and the family businesses will slowly dissapear.
